General Design
The functional objective of the TS-310 is to supply multiple
control loops necessary for safe and accurate. The TS-310 system
will provide field configurability allowing it to provide the necessary
functions to control a 2 value steam turbine, or a single valve steam
turbine with Anti Surge Control, or reciprocating engines. These
functions shall take in speed, process, and safety control.
The system is a simplex microprocessor-based controller with standard
software to provide the required controls and functions. The system is
designed to provide precision control, high reliability, and ease of
maintenance. Contact output hardware consists of solid state devices. An
option of dry contacts shall also be listed.
The system has a sealed membrane-type keypad to provide the means for
field configuration and operation. This keypad shall be of a
weather-tight design. The system provides a liquid quartz display for
the viewing of the configuration and operation of the system.
The system provides hardware for expansion via an RS422 communication
port.
The TS-310 is a rugged, field-proven configurable steam turbine
governor that provides pre-programmed control for one-valve and
two-valve (extraction) steam turbines. Using the Windows-based PC
Configurator, or from the front keypad, the user can quickly configure
the TS-310 for a wide range of steam turbine control applications,
including:
- Inlet pressure control
- Extraction/admission control
- Backpressure control
The TS-310 can also be configured for driven-equipment control
applications, including:
- Suction pressure control
- Discharge pressure control
- Synchronous (isochronous and droop) generator control
- Paper line drive control
- Compressors
- Pump drivers
- Generators
- Hydro-turbines
- FD/ID fans
Other features include:
- Nozzle valve control
- Load limiting
- Critical speed band avoidance
- Hydro turbine control
- NEMA 4 enclosure (panel or flush mount)
- 100-350V DC or 90-250V AC (50-440Hz) power feed with an option of
10-40 VDC.
Inputs and outputs include:
- 4 Analog Inputs (0-10V or 0-20mA)
- 2 Analog Outputs (0-20mA or 0-200mA)
- 8 Discrete Inputs/Outputs (configure as DI or DO as required,
select voltages as required)
- 2 Pulse Inputs (10Hz to 20kHz range)
