Who we are Introduction to the training centre
|
The LifeTime Learning Centre of Invensys Systems (UK) Ltd,
a member of Invensys Process Systems (IPS) is located in Crawley, West Sussex, England at
the former Foxboro Great Britain Ltd. Headquarters.
Invensys Systems (UK) Ltd. was formerly Foxboro Great Britain Ltd, and was originally
founded in Merton, Surrey. However in 1956, a purpose built factory was constructed just
to the north of Redhill in Surrey. Foxboro moved to Crawley in 1989, and has been at the
present location in Manor Royal since 1994. The company was purchased by Siebe in 1989 and
then became part of Invensys in 1998. |
 |
The UK training centre is primarily responsible for Foxboro I/A Series
and Triconex ESD training in the UK,
Ireland, Northern Europe and English speaking Africa. We have training centres in Crawley,
Warrington and Nigeria. Also we support other global regions as requested.

|
Our training centre offers comprehensive
training courses on Invensys Process Systems product range including Foxboro I/A Series
where the training is available on both UNIX and Windows platforms,
plus Triconex training. Courses can be either
selected from a standard catalogue, tuned to a client's system, or custom built to the
client's specification, which may also include a customised workbook.
|
Courses are conducted mainly at our APV Crawley facility, but also at other Invensys locations
or if preferred at the client's chosen venue
In addition to
Triconex safety shutdown systems, products from other IPS member companies such as
Simsci, are also included in our training portfolio. Our full time instructors are from
some of the companies that make up IPS (Foxboro and Triconex).
Our methods of course delivery are very much in keeping with the current times. In
addition to the traditional instructor led classes, we also have a number of innovative
training products in a wide range of media including Web Based (WBT), computer based
(CBT), self-paced, and video training. More recently the exciting e-Learning program with
it's many learning opportunities with or without an instructor online has been brought
into the forefront of the training centre programme. |
