Course
2612 - Intelligent automation configuration component (IACC)
Duration:
5 Days
Prerequisites:
- Introduction to Configuration (2000) and Integrated Process Control
(2100)
Who Should Attend:
Process control engineers and technicians who must
configure or maintain the I/A Series system using Intelligent Automation
Configuration Component.
Description:
IACC provides a powerful and integrated engineering environment for
designing and maintaining control strategies, composite display objects
and configuring the I/A Series system. In IACC the graphic Control
Strategy Diagrams (CSDs) are used to create a control strategy while
integration of FoxDraw and System Definition bring powerful engineering
capabilities to the IACC product. This course starts out teaching how to
build a simple loop and works up to configuring multiple types of
control and bulk generating of control loops.
Objectives:
- Build a simple loop using the Control Strategy Diagram Editor,
assign it to a compound, and download it to a control station
- Create and edit FoxDraw displays from within IACC
- Given a Tag list, build a CSD Template and use it to Bulk Generate
multiple CSD instances
- Apply Ladder Logic and Sequence Control strategies using the IACC
interface
- Build a system configuration and define the hardware naming and
software parameters, validate it, and create a commit disk
- Describe and use the various security, multi-user, and version
control features of IACC
- Use the Find in Database and Where Used search commands, as well as
generate a report
- Perform various administrative operations (e.g., backup, restore,
export) on an IACC database
